Response to the Square Meal report from the Landworkers’ Alliance

The Landworkers’ Alliance, a producer-led organisation of small-scale producers and family farmers who use sustainable methods to produce food, fuel, fibre and flowers, have written a response to the Square Meal report.

“We welcome the response from the Landworkers’ Alliance and we recognise that there are many similarities between what the Square Meal alliance is calling for and what the food sovereignty movement is calling for. We’re heartened by organisations actively responding to our provocation and indeed encourage others to do so, as we are keen to stimulate a wider debate”, said Dan Crossley, Executive Director of the Food Ethics Council, one of the organisations involved in Square Meal.
