Food Policy After Brexit

The UK’s departure from the EU means that the UK (and the Devolved Authorities) must design or revise policies affecting many aspects of the food system – including agriculture, nutrition and diet, food standards, climate and biodiversity impacts, labour, industry and infrastructure, and trade. Already published or planned are an Agriculture Act, an Environment Act, a National Food Strategy, a Trade and Agriculture Commission, a White Paper and possible subsequent legislation to implement new arrangements. We will monitor and analyse these important developments in food policy.
