Challenging Policy Bias Against Sustainability
Food policy in the UK is in a state of flux, as policy-makers adapt to the triple shocks of Brexit, Covid-19, and the climate and environmental emergency. New policies can (and must) unlock potential for more sustainable ways of producing and distributing food. But they can also have the effect of putting sustainable food businesses at a disadvantage. We monitor policy developments, highlighting implications for the sustainable food sector and challenging ‘policy bias’ where we think this supports unsustainable practices.
