Tools and metrics for community food growing

19 March 2016

On 19 March, FRC hosted a meeting initiated by Growing Health. Representatives of 16 community based organisations and academics institutions got together to discuss tools and metrics used for measuring health outcomes and impact of community growing projects.

The aim of the meeting was to better understand the limitations and opportunities to improve and standardise current tools and metrics and hence improve the evidence base on community growing.

Participants agreed on next steps to develop common tools for use by the wide range of organisations involved in community food growing and Green Care interventions.

For more information on this meeting, please contact Margi Lennartsson, Head of Programmes at Garden Organic at mlennartsson[@]gardenorganic.org.uk.

This meeting followed on from the Green Care meeting hosted by FRC in January.
